Mojhdleh roh Sejh From nar Anjahr, Mojhdleh roh Sejh is an Inspector for the Authority, the governing body of The Convergence. Along with Jovijh roh Djeneh and Ren nar Qadj, he studied Observation and Police Sciences at the Diplomatic Academy in Rocon. The three of them had an taboo romantic relationships while in college, which resulted in disgrace, and the suicide of his creche partner and the death of their children.
Born in Meadow Springs, the Communities of Sweetland, in Y-3. She is a precoscious reader and has consumed all of the books from Earth available in the village library. The Sweetland Quartet Molly is a main character in the Sweetland Quartet, although she does not appear in Skyrmion. At the beginning of Degrees of Freedom she is 13-years-old, and at the end of the quartet, she is 17.

She is a spoke on The Concilio, and a colleague of Jessie Larivee. Sister Luz was born, Rowan O’Connell, in Sonoma, California. Her younger brother, Sean O’Connell, immigrated to Sweetland with her in 2038.

Brother Karim is a Templar and a Traveler. He is a member of the Mutualists, and organizes allies within the Communities and the Temple. He became a Traveler after emigrating from Earth to Sweetland. He is at the Guide level – can travel alone, can guide an apprentice, but has limited knowledge of the network. He was born in Chad and his family fled to Algeria when he was a child. Vasi Sra is a young Omi Guide from Vizucán who befriends Molly Whitedeer. Vasi is a farm girl, raised in a communal family, who left to join the Travelers and see the Convergence and has taken a courier job with Xelun Bés-la, delivering supplies and messages to neighboring worlds. She is a secondary character in Degrees of Freedom (and will likely play a further role in the final two novels).
One of the young rebels Jessie Larivee befriends in the forest, she is also a singer and songwriter with Enfants des Lunes, a band Molly Whitedeer and her friends meet at the Festival of Verano. The Struggle for Sweetland Vi Aubrac played an heroic role in the Struggle for Sweetland, and helped gained independence from the New America Corporation occupation of the Communities of Sweetland.
