    Portland, Free Cascadia

    Portland is the capital of the new nation of Free Cascadia. Originally third choice among the founders, Seattle and Vancouver were badly damaged by the Earthquake of 2048, and still far from recovery when the new nation took its first baby steps.

    History and Demographics

    Once the largest city in the state of Oregon, Portland was founded in 1851. Now the third largest city in Free Cascadia, the urban area supports over 5 million, nearly a million and a half live within the city limits.
