True Names of the Stars

The True Names of the Stars by Duane Poncy

The True Names of the Stars is a novel about fourteen year old Denver DeLeon. Raised in the city by a troubled, drug-addicted mother, Denver fondly remembers his Cherokee grandmother who taught him about Tsalagi traditions.

When Denver wakes up one day in a corn field, in a strange world he does not recognize and stalked by a mysterious creature, he must rely on the stories told to him by Granny Goat in order to survive.

The True Names of the Stars is a (young adult) fantasy, based on Cherokee mythology and history.

  2. The novel is still in progress, and probably won’t be finished for some time. Check back from time to time. -Duane Poncy
