Hi Patricia and Duane,

I am in the process of finishing a short (20 minute) non-profit educational film for high-school students on Indian (Cherokee) removal (funded by Oklahoma and Arkansas Humanities Councils and the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation).

I saw your family relationship to Rebecca Neugin...

We use Rebecca Neugin in voiceover- & I am trying to fact-check the family pronunciation of the last name. Could you tell me whether it's a soft "G" or a hard G & whether there's any emphasis as in "NEW- gin" ? or New-G-in? At the moment we've got the "gin" part as in "to begin."

Much appreciated,

Sincerely,

Osiyo,
My name is Jackie Lewter My Great Great Grandmother Fawn Locke or Nancy Ann Owens had an Aunt Elizabeth Liddy Higgs who married Tom Tickaneesky in 1859 on the Reservation in Oklahoma and had a daughter Melissa Jane Tickaneesky who married Sylvestor Hibbs.
They had a large family ,but this is the only info I have.
Sent with Love for the ones who have walked before me.

It's good to stay moving. I mostly live in my van (yeah, the one we used in the tv show - people didn't know I actually own it), where I usually just listen to the radio and smoke with my dog Billy and wait for the Colonel to call about our next job.
